A hair dryer is simply a toaster with a fan installed. As with a toaster you can change the settings to make the toast darker. The hair dryer uses the same idea with the heating element. The fam also changes speed to increase or decrease the hot air. What simpile machines are in a hair dryer??
a motor which turns a fan. A heater which isn't really a machine, I guess...What simpile machines are in a hair dryer??
Power, Ground and Neutral wires. Usually more than one heating element. Control switches %26amp; Fan. When the dryer is turned on low, the fan moves at a slower speed and only one of the heating elements is activated. When high speed is selected, the fan speed increases and a second heating element is activated to compensate the level of heat. If the second element did not turn on, the volume of air (on high) would increase but the temperature would not be as hot as on low. Most hair dryers are protected by GFCI (ground fault circuit interrupter) units at the end of the plug, or internally.
Usually about 4 heating coils and a fan... the coils heat up and the fan blows that heat out.
