Is it a good reason for anyone to splurge on a hair dryer because there not buying a car or adopting a baby?

I saw a guy trying to convince someone to buy a hair dryer at a booth in a mall by yelling ';you're not buying a car or adopting a baby'; at her. I thought it was pretty funny and don't think that's a good reason to buy one but am just wondering what other people think, lol.Is it a good reason for anyone to splurge on a hair dryer because there not buying a car or adopting a baby?
i don't think that he was talking about buying the hairdryer instead of buying a car or adopting a baby. he probably meant that she(?) was taking way too much time and making a huge deal out of something small, like buying a hairdryer.

Everyone who doesn't breed ought to buy themselves a nice present for rewarding the world by their generosity of restraint. Someone who places having a hair dyer over adopting a child is better off without one and they should reward themselves for knowing their limitations.





For the rest of us, there is no real excuse. The orphanages are full and they even PAY PEOPLE to be foster parents. Then you could buy a new hair dryer with the grocery money.
I agree with Bored. It was a stupid sales tactic (he would have instantly lost me as a customer), but he was saying, ';C'mon, this isn't rocket science. Just pick one and buy it!';
