I tried to reset the GFI attachment but that didn't do it. Is there some internal mechanism that keeps it from turning on until it has cooled off? Ideas? Thoughts?I was using my wife's hair dryer to dry paint and after turning it off, it didn't turn back on again.?

my hairdryer does it all the time.
its just over heated.
it'll work in a couple of hours.
it just needs time to cool down.

Wait until it cools down then try it again. If that doesn't work then you probably burned up the motor. Just go get her a new one.
Just let it cool down and it should come back on.
