if it did make you bald there would be lot's of bald women running around. It can dry your hair out and cause frizzies...but no baldness.

No, a hair dryer (or the use of) will not make you go bald. The heat from the dryer does damage the hair, but not severely enough to make you go bald. :)
No it doesn't, and the amount of damage it does to the hair is also related to what else you do to you hair (color, perm, relaxer etc). If you use a blow dryer on a regular basis, use a conditioner for dry/damaged hair when you wash your hair, it will help keep the damage to a minmum.

I am a cosmetology student so I know the answer to this for sure. The only damage that a hair dryer does to your hair is slightly dry it out. The best thing you can do to help avoid this is use good professional shampoo, conditioner and styling products. Make sure you are using a thermal protector in your hair and work it through you hair really well before you blow dry and ALWAYS blow dry down the strand of hair!!!! Never upwards! If you blow up the hair shaft you destroy the cuticle (outer layer) of the hair and it can't be repaired. If you do these things the negative effects of blow drying will be minimal. :] Hope this helps you!!:]
