Hair dryer and straightener for travel to UK and Europe?

I'm pretty low maintenance, but my daughter insists on having a straightener while on vacation...and we will need a hair dryer. I have found that the appliances that we have CANNOT be used with a voltage converter...it will fry the tool. Does anyone have any answers to this beauty crisis ? Thanks so much!!! are you staying in a hotel? If so, most will provide you with a hairdryer in the room, you could ring ahead or e-mail and check....with the hair straightener, I think you can buy something like this? http://www.amazon.co.uk/45W-USA-UK-Voltage-Converter/dp/B0007VZ6W4





If not, you could buy a cheap pair of straighteners while your over here, for like 拢15....hope this helps, good luck :)
