It's normal and there's a few reasons why that is happening...





- The brush you are using has old hair strands that have burned or are burning, or the actual brush strands are burning (This happens when you use boar bristle brushes and not plastic ones)


- The product in your hair heats up and smells like burnt.


-The blow-dryer has old particles or dust that is heating up and therefore burning.





Or the one we never want...


-Your hair is burning...





Just make sure you don't leave the blowdrier long tim in one spot of your hair and you should be all set. :-)

Yes, it's just dust and fluff around the blower fan inlet filter that is on top of the heating elements. Best to brush the air intake end every so often as it can get clogged up and overheat.

Yes, it's normal when they're new because some of the oils used when it was produced are still on the motor.





When the motor warms up sufficiently, these will burn off (and smell a little). But that should go away soon.
it could be because its new, or maybe if there's a hair trapped in it. i'd of said check that there's no dust stuck to the part where the air gets sucked in, but if it's new there shouldn't be any there
no it means something is wrong. Maybe dust, lint, or some stray hairs got in there. The last time my hair dryer had a burnt smell, it shorted out and caused some sparks.

mine does sometimes, whenever i switch it too high or very hott. mines about a year old though.
I noticed that with mine after I run it for a very long time. After I had mine for awhile, it quit doing it.
yes it is normal. it is a result of hair oils burning off because of the extreme heat
no but your hair might be getting into the part that gets hot and its burning it.or maybe you got ripped off!
Thats because there is hair inside burning
Yeah new ones can smell like that. Or you could have hair in it.
