When I was younger my aunt made Shirley Temple curls in my hair without using rollers or a hair dryer. All I remember her using was water hair grease and her finger to form the curl. When she was done I had Shirley Temple curls without sitting under a hair dryer. as for curling it think twice about a curling iron, I'd use a flat iron just because its better for you hair, its quicker and easier.
